Helen and Jim from Meadowfield, Durham had a lovely kitchen with light woodgrain doors, but it had seen better days. It was a clean, classic, shaker style, but not to their taste anymore. What they wanted was something modern and light coloured to liven up the room. When Helen and Jim walked into our showroom, they were instantly inspired by the variety of kitchen displays and took an instant liking to the range of cream coloured kitchens.
Helen was leaning toward light earthy tones, although she was open to ideas. That’s where the showroom assistant really helped her out and the makeover plan really started to come together.
After our surveyor Jon, attended Helen and Jim’s home, they opted for an Oakgrain Matt Mussel door in a Lincoln style.
This vibrant, light-toned, oak grain shade really brought their vision to life. The existing kitchen, though dated, was in excellent structural condition, making it the perfect candidate for our makeover service rather than a complete refit.
We carefully removed the existing, traditional shaker-style doors. Then our installation team fitted the new, made-to-measure Lincoln doors to give the kitchen a whole new look.
The Lincoln style is a modern twist on the classic flat style. With bold chamfered edges to all four sides of the door. It offers a distinct and contemporary finish to any kitchen. The new Oakgrain surface, also gave the doors a luxury and stylish feel.
The transformation project included new doors, drawers, panels, plinth and trims. They kept their existing dark worktops, which provided a great contrast to the new Matt Mussel coloured doors and trims.
The makeover project was completed by our expert fitters in just 2.5 days - bringing Helen and Jim’s vision to life quickly, seamlessly, and with stunning results.
They were overjoyed with their new kitchen look and the service they received from our dedicated team. From inspiration to installation, we were proud to help create their dream kitchen!

Why a Kitchen Makeover ?
The current kitchen had been in place for at least 15 years and despite this it was in a good condition for its age. So, we suggested a stylish makeover to create the dream kitchen for Helen and Jim.
As part of the makeover we replaced; doors, drawers, panels, plinth and trims, to make it modern and contemporary. They also asked us to install some new under cabinet LED lighting, which brightened up the kitchen even more!
