We completed this Kitchen Makeover in Gateshead for Lorna in her apartment in Pelaw.

Lorna was looking for a hassle-free, cost effective way to revamp her tired looking kitchen. She stressed she couldn't be bothered with the mess and upheaval of a full new kitchen and moreover she was more than happy with the layout, but wanted to make a few small changes. She'd always wanted a dishwasher and regretted not getting one the last time she had a kitchen fitted, so this was a must. Also she hated the existing extractor hood as she always banged her head on it, so we suggested a new angled hood, which she loved.

The kitchen previously looked a bit bland in white, so she opted for a very stylish Matt Dust Grey colour and the Richmond door style is a modern take on the classic shaker style. The new door colour worked well with the existing worktops, so Lorna opted to keep those, and we think it really breathes new life into the kitchen.

Grey Kitchens

I wanted a new kitchen, but didn't want the mess .... well the result, it's fantastic!"

I went in to Kitchen Makeover as they seemed to have a lot of choice of colours and styles. I wanted to keep the cost down so their designer suggested we keep the existing worktops. They helped me to choose a door colour to work with the wooden worktops and a created a kitchen that I love again.

Why a Kitchen Makeover ?

Lorna had lived with her kitchen for many years and it was starting to get on her nerves, as she thought it looked very bland. She wanted a new look, so visited our showroom where she had hundreds of colours and styles to choose from.

To keep the cost down she was going to keep her existing worktops, which she was happy with and were in great condition.

Design Features and Challenges

We were asked to create space for a new dishwasher. So removed a cupboard next to the sink and adapted the plumbing and electrics to facilitate this new appliance. The old hood was removed and a new angled hood was installed by our expert team, which meant Lorna no longer banged her head while cooking, which happened a lot we were told!
