Matt Dove Grey Kitchen Makeover in Birtley

We completed this Kitchen Makeover in Gateshead for David from Birtley. While David's kitchen was light and open-plan it had been in place since he bought the house, around twenty years ago. Despite this, the kitchen was in surprisingly good shape for its age and David said he liked the actual layout, as it worked for him.

Being keen to keep the existing layout and the island, he just wanted something more modern and easier to keep clean, without the upheaval and mess of a full rip-out and re-install.

We were asked to give his kitchen a full makeover including; doors, drawers, panels, plinth and trims, to make it modern, lighter and brighter.

David wanted to have a simple style and light colour to bring his kitchen space back to life. To brighten up the room, our surveyor suggested Matt Dove Grey in a Venice door style, which is simple yet sleek and modern. The Matt Dove Grey colour ticked all the boxes in terms of modern, light colour and moreover the new doors also take no cleaning at all.

The brief was to give the kitchen a full makeover with doors to create a modern and light feel and worktops to compliment the light grey colour scheme. David also took the opportunity to upgrade his sink and tap. We advised David that a modern, grey granite sink would really elevate the kitchen worktops and kitchen as a whole and he was really pleased with the end result.

Our expert fitting team were able to create a whole new look in just 3 days!
